GHS Solutions, also known as GHS Debt Solutions is a Florida based debt settlement company. GHS charges the industry standard 15% of your total debt amount spread out over the first 18 months of your program with GHS taking the first 4 payments for fees. GHS Solutions is a member of TASC. They have received 23 complaints over the last 36 months with the Better Business Bureau, 4 of which are unresolved at this point. They have received an F rating from the BBB.

I was told my accounts would be settled for 25 to 35 cents on the dollar, which is red flag. They also take the first 4 payments to fees, with the standard being the first 3 payments. The company has been in business for less than three years which is not unreasonable but you should check on their client base to make sure things are stable with the company.

Lacking in Customer Service. I can’t get through to any of the agents working on my account. I call sometimes 4 or 5 times just to get through to the Arbitration department. We have lots of problems however we signed a contract and intend on keeping our half of the bargain since we already paid into the program.
I do not recommend.

I am not the smartest person in the world, I’ll be the first to admit that. However I am seeing an increase in complaints of wide spread abuse by this company all over the internet. Their customer service and rogue sales agents disappear the moment you provide your personal information. They seem to go on to the next victim.

They told me they’ve been in business for over ten years. . . the BBB says three 3 years!” – They lied!!

“They said they were members of the BBB – The last time I checked they had an F RATING! -
Furthermore they are not accredited members at all – They lied!!

Does GHS Solutions still expect me to trust them with my financial info? – NOT !!

I haven’t been too impressed with the way this company works. Constantly calling me, 5 to 6 times a day. I have not responded by phone only email.
I stated I would call them when I had a chance…but it’s beginning to feel like harassment.

There was no ZERO for overall rating. Too bad. That would have been my piock. Those rip offs have taken 6 months of payment and delivered nothing. They promised to contact my creditors and pay each of them principle pymts forv 5 years. A couple weeks ago I’m starting to get collections calling. I reassured them, I thought thaty I was going thru GHS debt solutiopns. They hadnt heartd OR recieved a thing. I’m going thru the Better Business Bureau and FEderal TradeCommission to see about my money. The debt solution company has their fat asses on my $. Before I started with these scammers, my credit was good and I had NOT missed any payments. When this company F’s with you, they really F with you. Consumer BEWARE!!!!!

Even tho my overall rating would actually be a MINUS 10, this company bites! Canceleled over a month and a half ago, still waiting for return of my money for NO services rendered! They said I’m only eligioble for LESS than half, yet they have DONE nothing. But create a problem worse than when I started! They have an “F” rating with the BBB, whom I am going thrHoping Florida television station will look into these scammers.u now. Waiting for Att. Gen. from CA and FL:A to contact me.

Have you read the report from the Better Business Bureau in Florida? An “F” rating and 82 complaints filed in the last 3 and half years. And theyve been in business, what, Three and a half years?????

Watch out for this company. They are a bunch of liars and do nothing but take you money. I stayed in the program for 7 months and was still suied by a creditor. They said oh I’ve never seen this before. They have not clue what to do. BEWARE STAY AWAY!!!!!! I am going after all the money I have given them.

Do not do business with GHS. I was sold with the idea of making three payments of $333.00 for the fees and then $242.00 for three years totaling $7500.00. This would be used to pay off the 14k in credit card debt. They told me they usually settle for between 38-50%. This would mean the $7500.00 would cover it, right? … WRONG!!!

The deposits were tapped for $118.00 each month for five months. Instead of having over $1,000.00 in the account I have less than $500.00. No one told me they would continue taking money – or that the monthly deposits would be tapped every month for three years. I won’t have $7500.00 in the account after three years. They’ll take nearly $4,000.00 of that money along the way leaving me with less than half what I need to even allow negotiate with the creditors. I cancelled my account today. I’m out over $1,500.00 in fees and was completely misled in the initial sales pitch.

Was close to $55K in debt – GHS helped me settle 5 accounts for less than $20K (after fees to GHS, etc). Was (credibly) threatened with one law suit, but GHS stepped up right away and helped guide me through.. The program takes TIME and PATIENCE. Stay on top of all activity, and be sure to ask questions when confused. The program does help people who don’t want to pay attorneys or tackle debt settlement themselves.

I talked to a very savvy sales rep for the first time today. They pay off ONE debtor at a time, settle for 40% of your total debt and charge 15% of that for fees, then there is a $9/month service fee.Debtors are sent a letter of intent to pay while they wait for customer to first save up money for lowest debtor, then by this method pay off one debtor at a time.I say be careful.

This company is very in experienced in the whole debt relieve business. I signed on to there two year debt relieve program, I made my monthly payments, I was on time with all my payments. In November I received a summons to court letter from some law firm, I sent that in to GHS, and with in a week I received a phone call from an individual in there legal dept. This person informed me that this law firm had purchased my debt contract from the bank I owed the original funds to. He informed me that they needed to settle my debt with in the next 30 days. The law firm did not want to wait the two years they wanted to settle then. They wanted 40% in three payment, with in 30 days. Which was very high and we didn’t have the funds. I then asked the person from GHS, what had happened with the contract we signed for the two years? They then stated that they couldn’t help/ continue on this contract due to the nature of the law firm taking it to court so fast, and that my account was unique due to the debt being owed to just one bank and not several different accounts. This which was not mentioned, in the begging of my contract. Nor at any time until they had to settle.I then received a letter to terminate my contract and be issued a refund. I had paid in eight months which should have been about 1800 dollars, I was being refunded only 1000. they were keeping 800 dollars, for what I don’t know. Not only did they not fulfill there end of the contract, they were keeping 800 dollars of my hard earned cash. I have been trying to get a hold of some one and nothing. So the moral of the story is be very careful of what you sign on to. I would look into a deferent company in all. They get very negative feedback from my end.

My husband and I have been with GHS for 18 months and nothing ever gets done with my accounts unless I call. We have one judgement and one pending. I was told that after 3 months that our creditors would be contacted and letters would be sent. To this date no letters have been sent. I have paid over 7k to them. I signed up for the 2 year plan and will not even be close to finished in the next six months. They encourage you to go to court when something is filed. None of this was mentioned when we signed up for the program. Once you have a judgement nothing can be settled. If I had just put the money I sent to them in an account and contacted my creditors myself, I would probably be finished setteling them. They also promise to repair your credit when you are finished with the program. I’m guessing that is another scam. None of the employees ever follow up on your accounts. Each time I call, they don’t have any current information, didn’t receive my faxes and the arbritrators are not nice or easy to deal with. I am cancelling my account, withdrawing my money and hoping to retrieve my ‘fee’ back. Some one needs to take legal action with this company, if they don’t provide the service they promised the contract should be void and all monies returned!! We need a class action suit against this company!!

To start off with this comment I first want to state that GHS Solutions is a total SCAM! We enrolled last October with our debt being $23,000 dollars…. after being in there program we are now in debt for over $32,000 not counting the over $2,400.00 dollars we have paid them. They continually told us to ignore phone calls and bill collection notices, that they take care of everything and work it out with the creditors that the creditors will say anything to get there money, but then when we spoke to the creditors they accused GHS of doing the same thing. After many months of phone calls and notices we contacted a Financial Attorney and was told that GHS is a bogus company and a scam. We were devastated and were given information to a legitimate Credit Counseling Center and we are in the process of trying to regain back our financial stability.

DO NOT under any circumstances enroll in GHS Solutions and give them any of your money! We have been advised to contact GHS and let them know that we are turning them into the BBB and sending a letter to our State Representative.

After seeing all the negative stories and ratings about GHS Solutions, it truly makes me want to blow my head off! I’ve been with them for going on 15 months now and haven’t gotten anywhere. I have 2 judgements against me and a 3rd pending, a very depressing, unsettling and stressful feeling of no hope.

Before I enrolled with GHS, I was with Mossler Law Firm (which is an actual law firm) for 3 months. Someone from GHS contacted me after I filled out one of those questioners online. After talking with one of they’re reps, they had me convinced enough to drop Mossler Law Firm, with they’re empty promises of saving me 15% over Mossler, making the total savings around 60% to 67% over what my beginning enrollment balances were on each of my credit cards.

The rep I initially spoke with assured me that after faxing in all my current creditor accounts, I’d be enrolling into they’re program, that would be it, they’d handle the rest from there. All I had to do was make sure the money was in my account each month at the time of electronic payment to them. He said there would be 4 stages to the payments. I’ve went through 1 and 2 now I’m working on stage 3. The payments started out being pretty high, like just over $400 for 4 or 5 months, then down to around $340-ish for several months. I’m now down to $314 each month and have paid well over $4000, not including what I lost when I left Mossler Law Firm.

Here I am 14 months later with a credit score of under 300, 2 judgements and a 3rd judgement pending and the feeling of no hope (literally!). Before I started with GHS Solutions, I had a near excellent credit score of 735 and could’ve probably got a loan to pay all my debts off or contacted each of my creditors myself, to work out some type of payment arrangements. For all my frustrations and depressions I’ve went through I get no resolve to my problems and am out over $4 grand of money I could’ve used towards my debts.

All GHS does is takes your money to ruin your credit, while basically all they do is give you advice on what to do when a problem arises. They can’t legally do anything of real help with my situation, because they’re not a law firm (like Mossler).

I would love to have all my money back as I could really use it now.

I’m comforted to know I’m not the only one who was taken by these crooks. Not that I’m glad any of you have been ripped off, just that I’m not alone in times of desperation or need.

I noticed some people left positive feedback and stated to be patient and the program would eventually work. Well I’ve been patient and so far it’s cost me 2 judgements and a lot of money and depression. If I continue to be patient, how much of my hard earned money will they end up stealing from me?

I’m definitely looking for legal advise with this matter!
If anyone would like to see about getting a class action lawsuit started against these frauds, please contact me at; probuildersinc@comcast.net

This is a bad way to settle your debt after 7 months nothing had been done to pay or contact any of my debtors and the phone calls were endless. The good news is today i setteled my debts for 50% of the total balance by contacting each creditor and negotiating a settlement and you can too.The bad news is i lost about 15o0.oo in so called fees. The reps were nice when i was signing on but real jerks when i cancelled my account.

          Ben August 3, 2010 at 2:06 pm

I enrolled w GHS roughly 9 months ago. I’ll admit they were slow to start and wanted all their fees before negotiating w creditors. But they just settled my first account for .35 on the dollar. These programs aren’t miracles, they take time. I am more than pleased with the customer service I have received and so far they have upheld their end of the bargain.

Two more accounts to go and I’ll be debt free. GHS has worked for me so far. Just make sure you keep on them and fax any collection letters you receive immediately. Also, 3-4 days after faxing, call for confirmation that they received your faxes.

If you stick with the program, make on time payments and keep in constant contact with them, they will work with you to reduce debt. Good luck to all of you for this is a hard time in the economy and credit card companies are vultures. Best advice, use cash to reduce future debt and cut those credit cards up!

            ROD August 5, 2010 at 9:23 pm

i was enrolled with ghs in nov of 2009 and every month thay took 465 dollars from my account in june of 2010 bank of america called to settle 2 accounts i had with them well i thought i had enough money in my so called private acount that ghs said i was the only one who had access too well when i called for a balence thay said i only had 900 dollors in my account when i should have had over 2600 hundred dollars in my account what thay dont tell you is for the first 6 or 7 months all of the money you pay in go’s rite in thier pocket for there fees then after you pay there fees then your account starts building plus there people are the rudest people i have ever talked to so buyer beware ghs is nothing but a scam

              Maria V August 9, 2010 at 7:18 pm

I am not at all surprised the negative comments above. I actually worked for GHS Solutions as an enrollment rep and a Debt Arbitrator. I handled many of those calls. I currently moved and now work for another debt settlement company in Miami. I wanted to take the time to give an idea of what the clients goes thru in these programs. I was one of the top arbitrators there settling over 90 client accounts a month with an average settlement of 37 cents on the dollar so I know firsthand the program does work. a lot of the time I spend on the phone is explaining to the clients that we are not miracle workers and cannot rid them of their entire debt in 3-15 months. most clients are in a 3-4yr program and have to have the funds needed to settle. Without leverage (money) we cannot negotiate with creditors or collection agents. I would have to play recorded conversations to clients to show that the program was thoroughly explained to them. the good and the bad. You have to grow thick skin to be in a program like this. Many of my clients would forget exactly how the program works and i still deal with this. I am still in the industry because I know it works. I have never been in credit card debt but i see everyday how it effects people and their trust. The credit card companies rip people off for billions and what i did everyday was a way someone in a true hardship could get some relief. I used to have to explain the program 4-6 times until the client really understood that we are not loaning money or paying original creditors monthly. It can be very frustrating as an employee but clients want results immediately which is not possible in every case. Most of the complaints i see are from people that cancel and get impatient in the very beginning of the program (within 6 months). You can’t expect someone to solve your debt problems in 6 months when it took you years to accumulate that debt. Average person in debt that i see is about $20-$30k . Understand paying the mins on that would take you anywhere from 20-35yrs to pay off..that’s a lifetime for me. I now am the top arbitrator for my new company and i deal with the same type of complains at my new company. Ghs had a very large staff in customer service and dealt with a lot of impatient people. The clients need to understand who the arbitrators are up against. Collection companies and especially collection agents jobs are to scare the debtor into paying them mins forever or the full balance right there on the spot. So they send letters with lawyer letterhead and lie on the phone about putting debtors in jail. They say everything they can to scare the client into paying them. Debt arbitrators now have to convince our client that these are mostly just empty threats. But as a scared client who reads negative comments about the bad debt settlement companies out there, it can be a difficult task. The stress that consumers in debt go through is tremendous and can really cloud the mind. if anyone wants to email me to ask about how debt settlement works or ghs or my new company feel free. this program is not for everyone but it definitely does work with patience and the right attitude. Maria V

I appreciated the information you provided 9 Aug. 2010.
Would it be possible for me to receive information about the currect company where you are employed. I am currently in Debt Consolidation. I am spread real thin at the end of each month.
                Thank you.
                Sincerely,

I called these people after receiving a “form” letter in the mail. Their program is not a solution to your financial problems because they actually “take” a great deal of money from you in the form of fees in order to negotiate with the your creditors. Don’t get involved with these people. Not good. Read all the negatives comments on this site! Try Money Management International.

I have been with GHS for almost two years and I had 40,000 in debt. I have been sued twice but GHS has always been there on my behalf. The law suits, I ended up paying more than my balance was, but I am receiving notices from other debtors for less than 1/2 of my balance. I have read alot of complaints here, and I have nothing but good to say about GHS. I would have never been able to do this alone. You definatley need time and paitence, but GHS told me upfront that I could be sued and that it was going to be a very ugly process, but I would get through it. So far so good.

                      Glenn August 27, 2010 at 6:03 pm

I have been with GHS since Nov. 2009 paying the fees as described in the schedule which I thought I understood. Now recognizing that I still don’t have any money in my account to be able to negotiate with the creditors, I already have two of them filing suit against me although GHS said it was highly unlikely given who the creditors are. The paperwork has been served!

My real question is a matter of license. According to state I find online (michigan.gov – Debt Management Act 148 of 1975, MCL 451.411), GHS is not licensed as a Debt Management company and my contract should be considered null and void. Does anyone know if this is true? According to GHS “There is no licensing requirement for GHS in the State of Michigan. Your agreement is lawful. Should you wish to discuss this further, please provide me with your phone number and the best time to call you and I will have our attorney contact you.”

Just trying to get moving again in the right direction.
