Elite Debt Management is a new company to the debt settlement industry. I was told they have been in business since January of 2008. Since they are a new company, they do not yet have a Better Business Bureau rating. They have aligned themselves with TASC, which is a step in the right direction.

I was told they charge a setup fee of between 12 and 15 percent of your total debt amount depending on your situation. I am not sure what criteria they use to determine where you fall in the range, but 12% would be a pretty low. They also do not charge a monthly or settlement fee. Since they are a very new company, you may want to ask how many clients they have on the program or how many settlements they’ve done so far. I’m not sure if settlement companies will give you references of past clients, but that may be something to ask for as well.
