Eagle One Debt Solutions

by Debt Settlement Reviews on November 24, 2008

Setup Fee: 10-15% (I was quoted 12%)
Monthly Fee: None
Settlement Fee: None

TASC Members: Yes
BBB Complaints: 0

In Business Since: June 2006

Eagle One Debt Solutions is a Pennsylvania based debt settlement company. Eagle One charges 10-15% of your total debt amount. I was quoted 12% with a $20,000 debt load. They break up that 12% over the first 18 months of your program. This is a nice bonus since most settlement companies put 100% of the first 3 payments towards their fees. Eagle One allows you to start saving immediately.

Eagle One Debt Solutions is a TASC member. Have been operating since June 2006 and have been listed with the BBB since February of 2007. They have zero complaints during that time period. Their explanation of their program was pretty upfront and honest. Their one potential negative could be that they have not been in business for an extended period. As always, please perform your due diligence.

I’m one settlement away from successfully completing this program. They have been great to work with. The only downside is the occasional e-mail gets lost during server upgrades. I went into the program needing to settle 5 accounts and am almost done. I had some extra money come up that allowed me to knock out a big chunk quickly, but still they have done a great job.

I’ve graduated from Eagle One’s Program. Surprisingly it was over in 22 month instead of 30 month as originally quoted. I guess they were able to reach cheaper settlements with some of my cards and subsequently use the remainder of the money for the rest of the settlements. I wanted to say thank you to Eagle One and especially their Customer Service Team.

I looking at the program. How badly did your credit rating drop? Have you seen the rating improve as you neared completion of the program?

They are not a bbb company. I look and they are not associated with them in any form or fashion. You have to pay their fees and have banked up half of your debt before they will do any work and if you cancel after 5 days of making your 1st payment you loose all that you sent to them.

They actually do belong to the BBB, not accredited with the BBB, ….but they have a rating of D-. The next level rating of F is as low a rating as the BBB gives out. You can check this yourself by goint to http://www.dc.bbb.org and search on Eagle One Debt Solutions and enter Pennsylvania as the state. It will bring up the report. There are currently no complaints against them and part of this rating is due to the type of business they are. They have not settled 1 debt of mine, nor contacted any of my creditors. You also can’t get anyone to call you back. I did what I thought was due diligence when I signed up with their program but it fast becoming my worst nightmare.

        OMG what a scam company.
They took full advantage of us with outragous fees
and refused to give money back.
        They were even drafting more
money out of my account than what we agreed on.
Buyer beware…They want huge money paid in advance before
settling any debt at all. When I called them on this they refused to
        take my phone calls!!!

It is the rest of the Debt Settlement industry that caused the industry to be frowned upon. This is the reason if you Look at the BBB link above and see the amount of time in business as well as the ZERO complaints you should feel good with dealing with them because if you look at 10 random Debt Settlement companies on the BBB, you will see that they have been in business far less a time and have numerous complaints. This I promise. Go check! 99% of the industry does things the wrong way. For the few people on here who had problems, if you are real people and not just angry bloggers, mis-understandings do happen but the company gets results. I owed HSBC over $16,000 and they made it so I only paid them 10%. Ask for settlement letters. This will show that your creditors do/have settled before. They also have other options and always offer the safest option first. They arent trying to slam you into one option. They are a Debt Relief company.

I am an affiliate for EAGE ONE and I have several satisfied customers. They have settled several accounts for 3 different people. THIS IS THE ONLY DEBT SETTLEMENT COMPANY THAT I TRUST. I have been associated with a couple others who did nothing for my clients. This is the truth!

What happens when you get sued by the credit card company becuase you haven’t settled your debt in a timely fashion?

They screwed me out of 1300 dollars, and said that it was their fees and where they had made a payment. yet i was told that they were settling with one of my cards, they withdrew 1820.00 out of my account and then never paid it off! and im finding this out 3 months later? all through the time with them it wasnt very organized you never knew who you were talking too, or what was going on. All they do is get your accounts up to date and HOPE that the creditors take a lesser payoff! They can’t guarantee anything, and then it shoves your credit score through the basement, i am highly pissed off at them, they said that they canceld my account because they could never get in touch with me. And i am like well DUH, you call at 5pm -6pm est and i am at work because i work night shift, and then when i have time to call you back you are closed, and then when i call you in the am, they say, oh there is no reason that we were calling. So ya know what. **** eagle one! I am still in debt, and out of more money, and didn’t get anywhere. so why did i waste 5 months?

My wife and I just started with Eagle One. I am more of an pessimist and she an optimist. We have been into the program for 2 months now and we still have creditors calling us. Dont know exactly when those calls will stop or when they will actually start paying the creditors. I am keeping my fingers crossed as t his is the first time we have done anything like this.
