Debt Relief of America has changed their name to Fresh Start America. A name change should always raise a red flag. Often times, when there are too many negative comments going around (by word of mouth or the internet) a company will change its name to get a “start fresh” (pun intended).
Fresh Start America, a.k.a. Debt Relief of America charges 18% of your total debt amount, about 3% higher than most companies in the industry. They also charge a $50 per month maintenance fee, which is also pretty high. They are members of TASC but have a terrible record with the BBB. Their Better Business Bureau rating is unsatisfactory and they have received 169 complaints in the past 36 months, which is one of the higher numbers we have seen.

The stole our money and disappeared!!! Stay away from them they ruined our lives and I have 7 children!!!!!!
