Capital Debt Settlement is a Fresno, CA based debt settlement company. The BBB gives them an A- rating, with zero complaints in the past 36 months. The business was incorporated in June 2006 but was started in April 2003, so they have been in business for some time. Capital charges the industry standard 15% of your total debt amount. They also charge a $30 monthly service fee. This makes them just slightly more expensive than the average.
Capital Debt Settlement is a TASC member. When you speak to them, they will also send you out a packet with what they call “Debt Talk”. This includes settlement letters from previous clients. This is something more settlement companies should be willing to do, though they are obviously just going to send you the best settlements they have achieved and those letters should NOT be considered average.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A FIRM THAT IS SO COMPLETELY DISORGANIZED AND THAT WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU HOLDING THE BAG WHEN YOU GET SUED.
There may be a few people in this organization that are sincere and organized but my experience with Capital Debt Settlement has left me with a very bad opinion of them. They rate in all catagories a big ZERO.
I had the same experience.. they did not do what they had conveyed in their initial consult.. I have paid them over 6,000 dollars and debt collectord are still calling me and sophoening me for court..this company does not care about the individual and the universe will let them know soon..
I went with this company 10 months ago. Seems they have done everything the contract said they would. I have settle two of my accounts so far but have a long way to go.
This company SUCKS!!!! They sold or transitioned by account to another company. They also changed their name to legal helpers. When i call the number they gave me for the new company I get nothing. I was trying to avoid bankruptcy but after a year and a half I am 3 accounts settled and up to my ass in legal problems.
Kazlow & Tucker Debt Settlement company did nothing to but take our money in fees, This company sucks too. They have another company Global Debt Management in CA, we are trying to avoid bankruptch and thousands more in debt and being sued by these credit card companies, had to hire an attorney
They took over 4k in fees from me they did settle a few small debts
I am left without my largest debt being settled even though they were paid to settle them all.
They dont answer the phones, or reply to emails or faxes I dont have good contact info as of October. Another name has been thrown in accelerated or excellerate
BEWARE OF CAPTAL DEBT SETTLEMENT IF THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAME IT IS SO THEY CAN WALK AWAY FROM THEIR OLD ACCONTS AND START WITH FRESH VICTEMS IE: CLIENTS

I was also Left behind since October. I have finally reached them at their California office. The number is 1-866-528-9169. When finally reaching them, the lady told me that when the Derry office closed they had no idea and don’t have any of our records for clients that were being handled their. The lady was really nice and is trying to get all my info so we can pick up where we left off. But I only have one account left to settle and am very unsatisfied with what has happend and emptied my account at Global client services and will deal with the creditor on my own.
Capitaldebt sucks big time, they took from me over 13k in fees and promised me to settle all my accounts for 40 to 60% and they have settled only a small account in two years. What a scam!!!!!!!!!!. They never return calls and their personal have no experience at all, they are a bunch of idiots. I’m cosidering a class accion agains them.
